xbox live over bridged laptop wifi connection

hello

im trying to get my xbox on the internet via an ethernet to my laptop which is conencted to my router wirelessly. i have googled it and it seems that i need to bridge the connections which i have done, but unfortuantly it doesnt work. what seems to happen is that as soon as i connect anything to the ethernet port, my wifi is automatically disconnected.

i did however get it all working perfectly one night, but at the moment it just isnt working

i am using windows vista

any ideas?

Is it safe to assume that you're not using any daft software to control your wifi and are in fact using windows built in wifi management?

i fixed it.

i had to go into my bios and disable lan/wlan toggle.
