I’m really hoping for a Series X soon.
Seems demand isn’t slowed down.

Mid-late Jan I think now at the very earliest. If there is a shipment, or you find one in the EU it won't be coming in through the border.

Amazon Saudi Arabia has loads of stock, but you can't get them out of the country. I have a friend in KSA, but too near Christmas.

Keep your fingers crossed, should be getting a Series S by Christmas Eve as they're back at Microsoft Store. There's so much stuff I want to play with not having an Xbox for several years.

Destiny 2 on XSX runs and plays so well. I previously played it on PC and honestly this doesn't feel like I'm getting a gimped version. I briefly played it on a PS4 and that felt horrible at 30fps and with much reduced graphics settings.
It’s absolutely glorious the 60fps update. At first it took me awhile to get used to it, super smooth and haven’t had any issues with it either.
Now I just need to get a 4K tv even though I have a C9 oled but it’s downstairs and I can’t be arsed to game downstairs as my missus will annoy me lol.

Even the 60fps improvement on the S is great as aswell as the loading times.

I last played Destiny 2 on PS4 Pro when i was really into it, however I never finished Forsaken expansion. Got the base game and all DLC on xbox its great so far, though i noticed they changed the intro bits which i wish they allowed an option to skip all that as i know the basics from playing it before

Yeah just had to delete a few games to get it to install in the first place, can't see a way to just download parts of the campaign I think you have to install the whole thing and then remove.

Once it’s “ready to play” you can boot it up and cancel the parts you don’t want.

How is it as a single player game?

By the way MCC happily runs off external storage.

I was quite surprised it didn't ask for it to be moved.

These are indications of which games are still being compiled using the old Xbox Development Kit. If the games are still built with the XDK (which can support some Series X|S optimization) then they will be allowed to be run from external devices. It's when games are using the new Game Development Kit (GDK) that the SSD will become mandatory. I don't think the Velocity Architecture is available with anything but the GDK so we still haven't really seen its power yet. I don't even know if there are any games so far built with GDK. They might be the ones that use ray tracing of which there only a handful.

It’s quite good imho, it’s the only game I play now as others don’t hold my attention. Sure it’s it it’s own issues and bugs but on the whole I think it’s brilliant.
Majority of the game is single player although you have end games activities like raids that require you to have 5 including yourself to complete it but there are a few players that have pretty much solo’d raids but only certain parts of it. Then you have strikes which you can either find your own team of 3 or you can be matchmade and complete them with randoms.
Finally there is the pvp aka player vs player mode or crucible mode that pits you against 6 random people. Basically you and your team go round killing them and trying to be the first to get to 150. Again you can either get a team of 6 and play or solo que, where you will be put in to a team of 6 randoms.
Single player wise there’s quite a huge storyline to chew through and you can do it solo or do it with others. There’s also lore ie history within the game that you discover as you go along.
Weapons and armour?? Quite a range to choose from if you are a hunter, Titan or warlock. You have special armour and weapons called exotics which have their own set of special perks and combos.

Like I said I enjoy it and have been playing destiny since the very first version, almost 6-7 yrs now.

I'm playing reach on legendary on my own, I couldn't tell you how many times I've died so far :p

Best of luck in the final level! I did the same back when I originally played it on 360, many many tries along with frustration, took me best part of a week to do!

I did it solo as well as on the original 360 there was an achievement for doing so

Cheers. I love a good sci-fi shooter. But not big on co-op sttuff, so always avoided.

Also, prefer playing through story rather than mostly random run around and do whatever - which i had always assumed this was.

Maybe I'll give it a go now, off your description. Figure out what to do with those raids. Not right now though, as still got some other stuff to get through
