I enabled instant on and made sure nothing was running. Fan is no longer running when off now. In my case I bet it’s Destiny 2 still running.
 
Hadn't even noticed my fan was running when its off, but sure enough, its pushing a small amount of air out.

I exclusively play destiny 2 and I’ve got instant on my series x. But once I’ve left the game and shut off my series x, the fan will run for a few mins but then turns off.

I usually long press the Xbox button on the controller and power off while still in game.

I used to do that on my one x but now I just press the middle Xbox button to go back to Home Screen then press the button with horizontal lines and select quit then shut off my series x.
As I said I used to do it your way back when I had my one x but found that when I next played the game, it would give me error messages etc.

Yea I think that's where I was going wrong, without quitting the game it would still be running when powered down, this kept the fan on 24/7.
 
Had some graphic corruption yesterday in watchdogs, and later had what looked like intermittent handshake issues. Hopefully not indicative of larger looming issues
 
Connected my G923 for the first time. It hung trying to fast resume FH4, managed to quit it and then was met with a rainbow coloured strip across the middle of the screen and then a fuzzy grey screen. Turned off and back on and wouldn't respond at all. Restarted it and now it works perfectly and has since. :confused:

It depends on the game I believe. I don't have to quite Forza and the fan goes off with no issues.

Could be, try shutting the game down properly and the fan should stop. If it doesn’t then it could be an issue with the console.

Right now my series x is silent, fan is off.

Think you may have missed my post above where I closed all games/apps and the fan stops.
 
Been waiting for my mate to get his series X so we could play Gears 5. On Insane with no revives wtf?

Looks fantastic in HDR on my CX but my god, when did they remove DBNO from co-op on higher difficulty?

Never played GOW4 co-op with my mate, something I hadn't realised until we were watching a recap before Gears 5 started and he said he had no idea what was going on
 
Looks like I'm going to have to unplug my external HDD and just use it as and when. It's spinning up and down every minute when the console is asleep which is well annoying.
 
Downloaded Destiny 2 + Beyond Light using Gamepass. Haven't played in a couple years so a lot is new!

Enjoying it so far though not sure what class to main as I only want to have one this time round vs all 3.

Can see myself falling into old habits... just one more Strike :D

No idea whats going on in D2 because there is literally no story recap.
