Here is my set vs elrasho which was affected by lag spikes which don't show in the replay. I missed a FADC Ultra at one point which I can do in my sleep normally, and I also missed a jab jab dp which I recently have been nailing everytime so it was difficult to say the least. It also shows how badly I struggle against a decent Abel. I was 2 games down and a round down in the third game and pulled it back to win 3-2. :D Most my success came when I started attacking and doing random/reckless hurricane kicks and dps, but it worked so... :o Anyway elrasho sorry about earlier, it was 2-2 and that last game doesn't count, I went to answer the door and came back to see you hammering me while I wasn't moving, letting your frustration out from losing this 2-0 lead no doubt. ;)

You just happen to stop playing when I was answering all your jump ins with ant-airs... then you go offline.. hmmmm suspect
 
adz, you should mash jab when ever you see the random rolls, it is very unsafe and jab will beat every thing abel decide to do. and you can dp most of those unsafe wheel kicks after you blocked it.

and dont throw fireball or move that have long recovery (like sweep) from half screen, because he can roll past them and throw. just walk forward and poke him with c.mk and c.mp, this actually makes abel very uncomfortable (at least it make me feel uncomfortable, unless i have meter to do ex change of direction). c.mp will beat random wheel kicks as well.

and you should stay on abel after knock down and do some meatys and throws, especially when he is without meter. you were having success doing that in the later games. watch out for random breathless though.
 
My mind goes totally blank when I play Abel, I think because I play him so rarely. No one really uses him apart from elrasho on these forums. Can't believe I didn't mash jab every time he rolls, in our session earlier I was getting thrown around for joke. Also, didn't know I could block the wheel kick and punish with DP. Will try all that next time cheers.
 
yeah unless abel play footsies and do step kick or s.lk, it is quite hard to get around someone standing mashing 3 frame jabs without jumping believe it or not, at least not with rolling.

if i was elrasho, i would have fadc some fireball for ultra 1 though fireball, build some meter with falling sky and save it for ex wheel kick though fireball and ex cod though pokes, ex roll to run away, or big fadc combos. and keep the life lead if you are not doing anything but full screen fireballs, like you were in the first few games.

I don't think Sims gonna cut it in AE and I was getting bored of him anyway. Probably play someone more rush down in AE, Ken is fun to use and so is Cody. Akuma is too hard for me to play with, you have to know a lot of setups and stuff it's just not my style :(

Ken got some nice buffs., so did akuma (not sure akuma needed any though)
