xbox360's library just gets worse....

The last PS3 Exclusive I bought (with interest)was GoW3. If I had a 360, then the last 360 exclusive I would have bought would have been Halo Reach.

The only games I am looking forward to this year are cross platform and the games I tend to play the most are cross platform (Red Dead,Fifa,COD,GTA). The only PS3 exclusive games that I could play over and over again are MGS4 and uncharted 2.

Its all completely subjective and there is no right or wrong answer.

Xbox has a more powerful GPU, PS3 has a strangely powerful 8 core CPU which isn't always that useful but when it is used, it's very good.


For me the only games that would make me want an xbox 360 would be Alan Wake and maybe Forza 3. I say maybe because even though it looks really good, there's loads of recent driving games that I've never even got round to downloading the demo of. Anything else is either on the PC or just doesn't interest me. I've never understood the hype around Halo. It seem OK when I've played it but there's plenty of FPS games I'd put infront of it.
 
I don't think it really matters anymore. On my 360 Forza 2/3 has taken up a lot of my time. GOW was played but didn't have anything to keep me there. HALO 3 bored me to death. The main reason i bought a xbox 360 was mainly because the PS3 wasn't even out and my friends all bought one too.

If GT5 is the second coming of jesus I will most likely get a PS3 for christmas too.

Going back to the previous gen I couldn't be without my gamecube because of the exclusives. This gen and I think the future will see multiplatform gaming become more normal as the money involved is a lot more than it used to be.
 
I love my PS3, but there's a good collection of games on the Xbox like Gears which I would like to play, but can't justify a 3rd console under the TV. The most important factor for me though is that my friends and family own PS3s (bar 1 person), so it's a no brainer for cross platform. Stuff like the Bluray player too has been a top decision from Sony looking back. I buy far more films per month than I ever did DVD.

Sony, please, can we have a decent pad?
 
It's obvious the OP is talking about next year, because unless you have any interest in Kinect the only exclusive MS have announced as yet is GOW, where as Sony has quite a few.

I had one of these but the games catalogue is awfull and the motion detection doesn't even work properly.

With the number of multi platform games out these days I can't say it makes that much difference. I've got a 360 and so far the only thing that's made me wish I'd bought a PS3 is Gran Turismo 5 since I loved all of the previous ones. I imagine if I'd bought a PS3 i'd be saying a similar thing about some of the X360 exclusives though.
 
i'm getting a bit sick of xbox 360 games every year which turn to be sequels like cod, gow, nfs, fable, fifa. i think i've been playing the same game for past three years. the cost of xbox live has no justification whatsoever. kinetic looks overpriced and hardly any games are going to be able to utilize it effectively. i liked xbox 360 and still i'm wanting to change it for ps3

Being a bit of a ps3 fanboy myself I would say that it's lineup has got a lot stronger over the years and is now at least on par with the xbox (well for a while now imo). But the big pull of the xbox is it's extensive back catalogue and it's a cheap system to buy. Why sell it when you can have the best of both?

Really in this last year PS3 has just started to show a good software line up, its taken its time getting upto speed.
However most of the big AAA titles have been pretty darn good. They do seem to of had better exclusive content/titles.

What has surprised me is sales for multiplatform have started to sell better on PS3. It seems with Blu Ray and other hardware advantages with the slim and better price Playstation is starting to hit back. Id be surprised if PS3 doesnt have a larger installed userbase soon.
