XDA Orbit PC Issues..

Hi All,

Having a few issues with my XDA Orbit..

I was trying to upload my photos to my PC, I plugged the phone in, it made the normal noise to say it had picked the device up, but did not appear in My Computer.. yet when I plug it into my sisters Laptop, it found it automatically... any ideas?

Using 32bit Vista pro btw.

Y'know I've had this problem.

I have a Shuttle (SN25P), which has 2 USB ports on the front. As far as I'm aware BOTH ports are USB2, yet only ONE port works with the phone.

Both ports can charge the phone, but only one allows ActiveSync to kick in and allow me to browse the phone.

So my immediate suggestion would be to use a different port. Just a thought.

make sure drivers are installed

maybe vista aint supported?

Thats the point though, my sisters Laptop is also Vista and it found it straight away and I was able to explore the phone...

Re-install mobile device center.
It isnt installed by default with Vista.
Its downloadable from the MS website.
