Hi,

Has anyone actually tried using the warranty service as stated on the OcUK products page. My screen currently suffers a bad case of screen burn, and it's totally unignorable and cannot be fixed unless the panel is replaced. I've tried dealing with the etailer directly, but was told to phone that number as listed on the OcUK page:

- 3 Years Manufacturer Warranty - Call Zerox UK on 0870 757 2944 for warranty on-site replacement service.

Tried it and could not be put through... but do you actually get a replacement pretty quickly?

I had the screen burn problem on my Xerox. In the end I got the replacement from Xerox themselves.. after about 3-4 months :( As they kept saying they were out of stock.

3 to 4 months?????????????? OMG. :( :( :(

My screen burn is pretty major and completely unignorable as seen in the picture. Check out the icons on the left and top as well as the start bar!

I had to put up with it for a good few months as I had no replacement monitor at hand... Though today, I finally got through to the "warranty replacement service" on the number listed on OcUK's product page. They took my details and stated that they will call me when they get the Xerox monitors in from Belgium. I was told that they will be arriving any time soon as they ordered the monitors 2-3 weeks ago.

Hopefully the wait won't be too long and that they'll give me a ring soon. Shame the original etailer refused my RMA request.

I'm hoping the replacement will be a good one... and that this situation won't repeat again. Beginning to wonder why I didn't get a cheaper monitor in the first place.

Ouch, that really is some nasty screen burn. I think one of the reasons my replacement took so long was because it was over Christmas, so hopefully your should be faster. The replacement screen I was sent is perfectly fine, no screenburn yet(and hopefully never) and no dead pixels. Good luck with your replacement.

I hope so too. :) The screen burn is pretty nasty. It looks like huge scractches in the screen. I hope the replacement procedure goes well and fast. :)

As stated above, if you get screen burn, then it's a fault on behalf of the monitor and not me. In my case, after a few weeks usage, image persistence kicked in. Now every single time I use this monitor, screen burn happens within 15 - 20 minutes of use. The persistence of the image is now permanent... the image shown above shows the severity of this issue. :( It won't go away.

I've already enabled the power option to shut off the monitor after 2 minutes of inactivity as well as a screensaver kicking in after 4 minutes, it's no use and the only option is to have this replaced. :)

Well, I'm kinda torn over what to do now. I really like the look of this monitor, but I don't want to drop 265 quid on it only to find I'll have the same problem as you guys a month or so down the line :/ Also spotted ajgoodfellow in another thread a bit below this one, saying that his has developed a 'small problem with image persistance' too.

So I suppose the question is: are you guys just unlucky and in the minority, or is this a common problem with these monitors?

Oh, and does it come with a DVI cable or would I have to buy one seperately?

Sorry if I'm kinda hijacking the thread, just somewhat concerned that's all. Thanks for your time :)

Nope, you're not hijacking the thread. I've read only 1-2 threads on these forums regarding the Xerox screen burn problems. Either it's not a common problem or people are just not buying them to really give a review.

These monitors look the part, but the screen burn does not justify spending a huge wad of cash on one. But who knows... hopefully my replacement Xerox will be better.

Just to chip in my 2 pennies, I had to get a replacement Xerox as the DVI didn't work on my old one and it had bad screenburn. I am not sure if the replacement is 8ms, and it has backlight bleeding worse than my older one :(

I hate Xerox

That doesn't sound promising. :(
