Hi I am using a intel i7 system with ati 4850, and creative xfi xtreme gamer soundcard

And i had problems running certain games i tried new leisure suit larry, bioshock and a demo of the last remnent

And i have discovered they only work when i disable my soundcard

One thing i noticed is they are all powered by unreal engine, all other games ie crysis far cry etc work fine so guessing its got to be something to do we unreal engine

I was wondering if anyone else has had same problem and solved it

Thanks

I havent had any issues with anything using latest x-fi drivers for vista64

While on that site, check out the applications section for Alchemy and Creative Console Launcher (optional). Not sure if they will help, but useful to have.

Might be worth installing laest OpenAL as well, as Unreal engine can make use of that.

And just for the hell of it, might be worth having latest DirectX installed ;)
