Hey,

I am having trouble with my XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card, which i recently purchased through overclockers

Its been working wonders since i got it, but on the odd occasion a popup would appear on my monitor "Optimum Mode Resolution" (while playing world of warcraft) and then shut itsself down to a blank screen, (computer still running).

It would require me to reboot my computer to bring the display back on my monitor. This has happended about 3 times.

It has happend again today, but this time my monitor will not boot up at all through my Graphics card, the fan on my gfx card is working as normal, everything else is working inside the rig. I have tried my old graphics card along with my friends XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (same as mine) and they both seem to work.

I am very puzzled, is my graphics card just a faulty one? or is there any solution to fix this?.

All information and guidance is appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds to me the card you bought is faulty and needs to be RMA'd back to overclockers?

Other questions that come to mind is, is it getting enough power? i.e. whats your PSU?
What temps is the card running at on load and does it sound loud?
