I have an xfx hd 5750 512mb and im wondering if ill be able to play bad company 2 at the resolution of 1440x900, would this be possible and if so , what settings ?

thanks, chris :D

In BC2 DX11 is some soft shadows and some bloom lighting, you're not going to miss it when you're out on the battlefield giving it large. ;)

performance-wise, yes. Looks-wise, a bit. You could probably get away with dx10 and some decent settings. I'd say use all medium settings as they don't look very different from high in most cases. I use dx11, all high except shadows with my 5770 and have 2AF at 1920x1080, so you shouldn't have any real issues.

I preferably would like to be running at at least around 40-60 fps would i get this with mostly high settings in dx9?

Big maps in BC2 will eat your 512mb of vram up fairly quickly so a combination of high and medium settings is best, just experiment with the IQ options until you find the performance and IQ level you are happy with.

512mb should be ok at 1440x900

I've not seen video memory usage go over 750MB in BC2 and I use 2xAA at 2048x1152

I have the same GPU, get it overclocked via the CCC easily to 830/1325 on auto fans, will run pretty much most things you throw at it. I think the above OC's take it to the power of a standard 5770.

thank you soo much, applied them settings in ati overdrive and i have gained around a 50-55 fps boost!

Nice one, I had mine for about 5 mins before I overclocked it :)
At that overclock, the stock cooler on auto keeps things under control and not too noisy.
