Xmas shopping, online or shops?

I do everything online unless it's an emergency. The only time I really go into town for shopping is to visit the tobacconists. I love walking into the shop and the aroma of hundreds of different types of cigars and pipe tobaccos hitting you in the face.

Do you guys do all your shopping online to save time, hassle and money? Or do you prefer going to shops, and if someone doesn't like what you bought such as the colour of the shirt or the design of the new toaster, it's easier to go back and change it then do RMA's?

I do everything online and I do it early. All our presents are bought and wrapped already.

My wife likes to go into town and buy things in the shops, I find that hell so don't bother.

I do both.

I usually ask if there is anything in particular my family members want then order those items online as it's usually cheaper.

I then look for other smaller gifts in shops because it's easier to find random things and stuff you might not have spotted or just wouldn't have found online.

Virtually always online now, it's not to save money either. It's just to avoid those goits who occupy town centres and want your bank details because they work for CHARITY or some sodding noname Fuel supplier. GTFO, they're almost on every street corner round these parts.

Last Christmas was when I went to my town and had four sods on me within minutes of getting out the bus. Should be able to shop in peace, not be badgered at every turn.

95% online, started about an hour ago and pretty much finished. Just need to goto a few shops for the other few things, a trusted cook shop and toys r us.

All online this year, i hate Christmas shopping. I got everything this year presents, cards and even gift wrapping!
Oh the only thing i didnt get online was the tree.

I HATE IT!

Probablly 50/50% here. In the run up to this Xmas if I had a day off here and there or there was something specific I had to buy for someone then I would just pop into the nearest main town. If however the item was too big or I had a busy week with work/couldn't be bothered I ordered stuff online.
