I've set the Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit as XMP Profile 1 in bios which shows it as 2400mhz. However in CPU-Z it's only showing as 1200mhz 1:9.

Any ideas?

No, CPU-Z is correct. You have to multiply the CPU-Z reading by two, to get the 2400MHz.

Modern RAM is dual data rate (DDR) hence the need to multiply by two. :)

Your RAM is working as expected. I have 1600MHz RAM which shows as 800MHz :)

I don't know why CPU-Z doesnt automatically multiply it by two, because it keeps causing this confusion. :p
