Hi all

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. I've had to disable GX mode in the Audio Center to get Foobar to play back any music (v1.0).

Now though, I've just realised no matter what EQ mode I set, be it my custom one or the pre-set examples, or any of the DSP modes the playback is the same. They don't seem to alter the sound....

Can anyone else just check and confirm if this setup does the same for them?

(This is on Windows 7).

Thanks.

Just put them on, yeah. :( May try doing some tidying up drivers wise and try again.

No matter what EQ I set just as a trial it's not working, looks more like it's the Audio Center. Before, the EQ bars would move, now I don't get anything. Everytime I alter a setting my speakers give a "pop/click". Might not be Foobar after all.....

Thanks for the help.

Hmmm just found this post on an Asus forum....

I have the same problem in Windows 7 x64 using the Xonar D1. When i use 2 channel (which sounds the best listening to music) the eq, effects, and dynamic eq shows/does nothing. When I change to 4 channels sound quality goes down but all functions work. Please let me know if asus needs to fix this or I am using the wrong settings. I am using media monkey and windows media player when i experience these problems. Thanks

Just changed to 4 channel output and it's working again.

Something is screwed me thinks! :)

Just fixed it. lol. Read further on in that forum and found this...

1) downgrade the default format in "speaker properties" of windows to 24 bit, 48000hz
2) in xonar audio center, put the bitrate to 192khz

enjoy :)

PD: with bitrates above 24 bit, 48000hz on speaker properties, all effects are disabled (EQ, effects, etc)
I HOPE ASUS RELEASE A FIX FOR THIS!!!

Sorted. :D :D :D
