I have just installed a Xonar DX card on my Asus P8P67 motherboard and although I can hear sound when I turn on my computer I get the error, "The internal power for Xonar DX is not detected. The audio card may not work. Please power off your PC and then connect the power cable onto the card".

I have done this but the sound is very faint and I can't open the Asus DX Audio Center program. It worked fine on my old Asus motherboard. Any ideas please?

To answer my own question, the power connector was not pushed all the way in.
The white part on the sound card came away from the pins so I had to push that back on for the power connector to secure in place.

A lot of people have had trouble with the power connector not seating properly, on the Xonar's that use the floppy type connector.

I don't know why they don't use molex connectors. Would have thought even on a low profile card, adding a molex socket there wouldn't be a space issue.
