i have this annoying problem - i get a high pitch noise through my left speaker when i sometimes open a movie file. i think its mostly avi's. now, the sound only happens on the movies, not during anything else, and if i stop and restart the video the sound may change or sometimes go away.
doesn't seem to happen on a single wmv file i have but does happen on vob files i have.
in fact i've just noticed it can come out of both speakers and on the avi's the sound of the movie only comes out of the left speaker when this happens.
it used to only happen when i had DS3D GX2.0 switched on but since i put on the latest k-lite codec pack its happening a lot more, so obviously a software issue somewhere (happens in MPC and windows media player btw)
what do you think?
edit: mp3's are fine btw
edit again: FIXED IT!!! i turned off the mixer in the ffdshow codec and its fine. just a tip there if anyone needs it.
