Hello guys

I am on my second Xonar U7 which has again crapped itself with the same stupid blinking LED error so I am not going to be going onto a third unit. I am after a good replacement now. I use a pair of HyperX Clouds and also AE Aego M 2.1 speakers connected via RCA.

Does anyone have any relatively cheap (<£80-90) suggestions for a replacement? When the Xonar works it's great as it allows one button swap from headphones/speakers etc but the build quality seems to be useless. USB or PCI/E is fine

Looks like Asus forgot to give it reset switch...

Sound Blaster X-Fi HD would be pretty similar external sound card.
But switching between headphones and speakers is apparently done in control software.

Sound Blaster Z would have SBZ Switcher for automating that manual change to to hotkey

Lowermost PCIe slot would be best for keeping sound card away from heat of GPU and minimizing risks of EMI.
