Hey guys i am dual booting XP and Vista on one Hard Drive (Partioned) thats not a problem. Though i wanted to put XP on one Hard Drive and then Vista on the Other and it dosent seem to be working out.

I install XP on the first hard drive thats ok then when i install Vista on the second hard drive, once the installation is complteted and it restarts it self it comes up with a message Boot Error occured and it wont let me load into either O/S. Help would be greatly aprreciated.

Thanks

it should work in the exactly the same way as using partitions? obviously vista will still overwrite the boot record on the xp drive to give you your boot menu still. are you running vista setup from within xp? :)

you might want to give it a try then? choose a custom setup and then you can specify the 2nd drive to install on. make sure the 2nd drive is formatted first though as the setup won't do it from within windows. :)
