XP Media Centre Edition: How do I get BBC or other quality News?

When I first started using MCE I had BBC news - I could chose all the stories of the day and stream them.

Somewhere along the line this has dissapeared, which is a great shame.

How do I get BBC and/or other quality news EG Sky News on my XP MCE?

Not sure where you mean you are getting BBC news in MCE? if you can explain in a bit more details where to find it, i'll have a look at my XP MCE to see it and work out how to get it back from there

He means from the 'Online Spotlight' section of mediacentre there used to be a BBC News viewer/browser which would stream video stories from their website, it appears to have been withdrawn (probably due to the widespread availability of BBC News 24)

Yeah it was in online spotlight - I'm at uni and MY tv has been made communal downstairs so is subject to crap choice often. Being able to watch proper news upstairs would be sweet!

yeps was removed ages ago sadly, was kinda hoping they would integrate iplayer into it but seems they dont really care,i now use a rss feed program linked to all the news sections on bbc`s homepage not quite the same but does the job

There are other news services on the Online Spotlight though, on vista i have ITN available and im sure XP MCE had Reuteurs
