My motherboard failed so I purchased a bare bones system, keeping the old hard drive and other components. When I placed the hard drive into the new system and started up I got a blue screen message regarding pci.
I learned then that XP Pro SP2 will not recognise a pci system, from this forum I eventually had to make a "slipstream" cd to install XP and get the computer running.
My 160gig hard drive now has the old XP Pro SP2 and all my programs in Partition "c"(System) and the working XP Pro SP2 on partition "g"(Boot). At the moment I am unable to access any of my programs on drive "c".
Please can anyone guide me in two areas?
How to safely remove the origonal instalation of XP Pro SP2?
How can I access my origonal programs which are still on the origonal hard drive "c"?
Any help or guidance will be greatly accepted.
