Anyone used one of these? Curious how it performs. I'm after a narrow width 120mm rad at about 12cm, and it seems this is one of the few, along with the EK Coolstream SE 120, but I've read numerous reports of that one not being so great due to its high FPI, therefore needing high speed fans. I would like quiet ideally.

I don't think there are any others this width... or are there?

The Magicool radiators work surprisingly very well, I owned quite a few in my time and been very impressed with the performance of them, they're cheap too, smaller and thinner than the 2 you are looking at: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/magicool-copper-radiator-i-120-mm-wc-010-ma.html

To be honest, the only reason I changed my radiators was for ascetics, I brought white 240mm and a white 360mm Black Ice rads, but in the 15 years ive been water cooling for, the difference between radiators is only a degree or 2, its more to do with the fans you put on them, higher static pressure the better.

With the exception of the EK slims, bit of a dud product unfortunately. In some of the comparisons the performance is miles behind - more telling though I’ve owned them and first hand will tell you it’s accurate :)

OP, would agree on the low FPI count as you can move more air quite easily and therefore heat with lower noise. Have also heard reasonable things about the Magicool...

I have a pair of EX280s

They don't perform well at very low RPM IMO. 600RPM is when they start to do something, and 850RPM or so they are kinda OK I guess. 1,000RPM is probably where they like to be, but I tend to run them at around 780 RPM and live with less than impressive water temps.

That's just my opinion though, I've obviously not tested them against other rads.

I got mine used cheap as part of a bundle. I'm happy with the performance / cost of my set up, but I wouldn't buy these rads out of choice if you know what I mean.

What fans are you using and in what case?

I had an ex240 which was fairly effective with a pair of gentle typhoons running at 1200rpm. It managed to cool both a Radeon 6970 and a phenom II x4. CPU temps were a smidge worse than air but the gpu temps were halved. (90 down to 45)
