Hi guys,

Picked up a Yamaha YSP2700 for £469 instead of £560 on the understanding that’s a Yamaha refurbishments are amazing.

Would you accept one that got delivered with the following marks? It was very well packaged - exactly as a new one would be.

Arguably I could get some black paint to fix it, but worth asking for a replacement / discount?

Always worth asking, it is a refurbishment so it depends on what they describe a refurbishment as. A lot are "cosmetic damage, but fully working" or words to that affect.

a lot of refurbs are ones that a customer bought. used for 2 days then sent back. or stock which got damaged in the warehouse, etc.

they aren't like stock which had a fault was sent back and then repaired. refurb means you could literally get anything.
when buying a refurb i would want a substantial discount. not £100 on a £600 purchase.

for example my sony tv was a refurb. top of the range as in at the time you couldn't buy a higher model that was a sony. 55" tv for i think £469. RRP would have been £1000+.

it came in brand new condition only thing it didn't come in was original packaging. i got a steal on that apart from the fact it only came with a 12 month warranty.

I would just touch those marks up with a Sharpie marker pen!
Oh, how does the bar sound? What are you upgrading from?

depends on what they mean by refurb, I'm sure there terms prob state it could have marks etc or something to that effect, always worth ringing though if your not happy
