Change the 4200+ to a 3800+ and fit an Artic Freezer.

Change the PSU to a Seasonic 430W.

Change the DVD-RW to a NEC ND3550.

Thats what I'd do anyway.

Why does he need a more powerful PSU, are you suggesting that a 400W PSU is not capable of powering that system?

You could run that lot on a decent 300W PSU :) It's not all about the Watt rating, look carefully at the Amp on each line.

This is really anoying me now :mad:

The way i say it, conroe wont be on top for much longer. I will buy AM2 setup and AMD will most likely release something better.

All i need is a pc that will run PS, DW smooth(which my 1700+ fails at >.<) and to play the games i enjoy playing(with higher options)

No conroe.

I think the same, i'm gonna search for some feedback on conroes now >.<
 
You can spend 500 quid and get a conroe system that will be faster than any other AM2 system.

Surely you want the fastest perfromance for your money?

Then I assure conroe will flatten everything in AMD current range not by a bit but by a significant ammount.I have just upgraded from an opty 170 dual core running at 2.8ghz and it was slow compared to my current rig!
