Things just get better and better..

First the All Blacks lose, then Fulham lost today 2-0, to top it all off, after getting a few autographs, me and two friends decided to head off home, so we walked through the park (right next to craven cottage) to get to the bus stop. This would have been around 8-8.15.

Get into a dark area, and some tall/big black guys approach us, telling us to give them what we have in our pockets, our first impression is to say no, so we did. So they decided to grab us and try get stuff out of our pockets. Then they said to us all 'dont do anything or we'll knife you'. They grabbed us all, and i tried to get through one of them, as i saw two guys walking passed (not included with them) and i called out to them, i sort of pushed the guy and ran to the guys that walked passed, i explained what was happening and they said 'we are not fools..we dont want to get mugged' and carried on walking!

So i turned back and one of my friends had gone, he ran away with a guy chasing him, and as i came back the other guy started to run, probably thinking i had got the other guys. So me and my friend rang the police..

It took 10-15 mins before the guy bothered to send the squad cars! I couldnt believe it at this point.

A guy with a few girls stood around with us waiting for the police, and he had seen them get out of their dark clothes and get into white and run off.

Squad cars turned up, went for a 'drive around' see if we could see them, but nothing.. So we did all the descriptions etc, took our details.

My friend had his phone, ipod and money taken from him out of his pockets while they grabbed him. The other had some money taken.

All three of us are 17, just coming home from going to see football, and get mugged..great.

Ah well, they have all the details..and we're due to go back in at some point to see if we can see them on CCTV or something.

People these days, carrying weapons etc.

You hear everything happen, but you dont expect it to happen to you!

Best part of the night was the drive home. Normally its upto hour and a half, but the squad car had the sirens on, got home in about 15 mins.

Ah well..

Could've been much worse

Thats exactly how we look at it, in a way we did the right thing, tried to get help, didnt fight back, the fact that they were a lot bigger, older and grabbing us wasnt helping that.

Glad it was only a phone, ipod and money more than our lives.

Unlucky mate. You got insurance to get the stuff back on? At least the only damage was possessions :)

Not sure, doubt it.

Thats exactly right, id rather lose a few items rather than be seriously hurt or worse.

Im more annoyed at the fact that people saw what was happening, and i even said to them - and they still walked on..i know a lot of people dont want to get involved, but they could have atleast said something, shouted or got help.

This is exactly why I never walk into allyways and secluded areas. Plus I only ever have my phone on me in a jacket pocket which is supposed to be sealed, so it looks like there couldn't be anything in it. Though it's insured anyway.

Thats the only way out of the stadium, to where the bus stops are, but ive been to every home game, this season and a lot of last, this is the first bit of trouble ive ever seen.

Atleast we're safe i guess.

Hmmm. I love the internet, as you never know how truthful people are being. I was right with you until you told us the coppers gave you a lift home with blue lights flashing. This is absolutely and category against the rules and I doubt any police officer would risk his career by doing it.

Was an unmarked squad car.

Believe what you want, im not going to argue - if you dont believe me then dont.

Thats why i 'love' the internet, you post something that has happened, and they dont believe you.

If thats what your going to pick up on, please **** off.

Always a good response to a criticism...

'yeah ... well ... they did, so ... **** you'

Glad to see so many care.

'Glad everythings okay'

'So they gave you a lift with lights on...blabla'.

Im not going to lie about getting mugged am i?

A similar thing happened to my brother in law when he was your age. Out with mate in broad daylight, in Crawley. They get stopped by a group of black guys, and told to hand over their valuables.

Some firemen walk by, and my bro-in-law calls them to come over, to which one of the black guys says that they called them '*******', hence why they've 'stopped' him & his mates. The firemen walked on.

They did get caught the same day though, after trying it on with some other guys.

Glad you & your mates are OK though :)

Yeah, thats what annoyed me too..the fact they did nothing to help.

I understand not wanting to get involved..but surely call the police, shout..get help or something.

Im just glad that we are all okay, and didnt do anything stupid, to be honest.

That sucks syke, glad it wasn't any worse though!

My sister's boyfriend was recently mugged and beaten up after falling asleep in a taxi. You just can't go anywhere without wondering 'what if' these days :(

Don't let what the few insensitive people say get to you. In the thread I made about my sister's boyfriend getting mugged, there were a few people saying that he deserved it for being drunk  lol

Yeah i read about that, must be terrible, you expect getting in something like that to be safe - and for that to happen, its just pathetic, whats happening to everything nowadays.

Ive given all details i can, they are ringin back tomorrow..see if i remember anything else.

Then i think they're arranging a day where i check footage from the CCTV, and look through photographs identifying them.

They've given me this 'CAD' number, which i have to quote if i see them at all, and it'll be for that incident and then they'll report it and get the squad cars there.

Getting mugged is ****. i was mugged by a skaghead with a syringe 3" from my eye, i was 30 yards from my house. Dumbly i refused to actually give him my wallet, just gave him the £5 i had and some tobacco.

Luckily they caught him and he went to jail :) the fool had spent the day mugging people and was all over the towns CCTV.

Yeah, hopefully some of them were the ones near us at the stadium, theres bound to be CCTV outside.

If its them, their camera will have pics of them with some of the players.. we were talking to a few players, Matty Taylor, David James etc - so we'll see what happens really.

I really hope that it was them, and there is CCTV.

Well lets hope something happens, in a way we're not bothered they got stuff from us, we'd rather be safe than anything.

I was carrying iPod, D900, 3 Season Tickets, Money etc.

We'll see what happens, theres surely many cameras outside the stadium, so hopefully we can identify what they were definately wearing and whether it was them.

Im not going to comment on immigrants or what ever, the fact is, the people who did it were black, and also it generally always is, not trying to point the finger at black people, but it is mostly true.

Lets hope they get appropriate punishment, if they are caught.

^^^ he was been fox , ie sarcastic

i believe him as its happened to me before...

nee naw nee naw nee naw

It would have been about 9.30 when they drove us back.

This is from Putney to my house, which is generally a fair journey with traffic.

Unlucky mate :(, those lads were probably roaming around for people because it was match day, easy targets with lots of money. Hope you're ok after it all.

Most likely, its a shame really, thats the only way for a lot of people to out of the stadium to get home, seeing as both train stations are out that way, and the bus stops.

Just a shame it happened, must have been the 30th game ive gone to there, no trouble till now.

Unlucky dude :(
Aye :(.

Just had a call back from them, and they're checking the CCTV outside the stadium tomorrow, and there was 2 cameras near where it happened, one in the tunnel, thats all i know - both been ruined, so nothing from them.

Lets hope they're on CCTV.

It's harsh when it happens mate, although you never know how you'll react until it happens, we were attempt-mugged recently on the tube back from brixton, stupidly we stood upto the guys and luckily they were bluffing, they got off at the next stop and nothing happened.

It could have gone a completely different way though.. if it happened again i'd just give up my phone/wallet/whatever and play it safe.

Yeah, we werent gonna take any risks, at the end of the day i'd rather lose my phone or whatever rather than be hurt/seriously hurt.

Just heard back from the Police, they went to Fulham yesterday, and stupidly;

Fulham only record outside their stadium on match days, before, during and just after the match - so was only recorded till about 6.30. I would have thought they would have recorded for security reasons.

Looks like looking through mugs shots for me :/

Wouldnt they?

Well either way, they did & thats that..to be honest.

And i only got through because there were two people walking passed and i called out to them.

I just dont see why i would bother to make a thread up about this, its not exactly the most 'brag' about thing is it?

Well if they did that whilst I was in the car I would certainly of said something.
You should also report them as the sort of 'copper' that does that is the sort of 'copper' that cuts down a small child whilst speeding to get his morning coffee

It was at night, and it was an unmarked police car. So you expect them to let people get the bus an hour and a half away from homeafter being mugged?

Just below the place where the bus stop is, is the tunnel.

Behind that tree is where it happened.
