You dont expect it to happen to you..

Just heard back from the Police, they went to Fulham yesterday, and stupidly;

Fulham only record outside their stadium on match days, before, during and just after the match - so was only recorded till about 6.30. I would have thought they would have recorded for security reasons.

Looks like looking through mugs shots for me :/

Sorry but I smell BS!!

As stated the police would definietly not take you home with the cherrys going.

Also with all due respect you were a fool and very lucky not to get stabbed if they did indeed say they had knifes and you then tried to get past one of them

Wouldnt they?

Well either way, they did & thats that..to be honest.

And i only got through because there were two people walking passed and i called out to them.

I just dont see why i would bother to make a thread up about this, its not exactly the most 'brag' about thing is it?

Well if they did that whilst I was in the car I would certainly of said something.
You should also report them as the sort of 'copper' that does that is the sort of 'copper' that cuts down a small child whilst speeding to get his morning coffee

It was at night, and it was an unmarked police car. So you expect them to let people get the bus an hour and a half away from homeafter being mugged?

Hmm, my brother was mugged in Hull once - he's black belt in Karate and managed to defend himself. There were three (black) guys, one of them had a knife and the other 2 were throwing stuff at him. After kicking the **** out of the bloke with the knife my brother fought off the other 2, reported the incident an hour later to the police only to have them come back to him the next day to arrest him for "over excessive force that was inappropriate for the situation". They said this after seeing the CCTV footage of it all happening - they even saw the bloke weilding the knife. Luckily no charges were brought up but the police didn't even bother trying to find the guys...how screwed up is that?

Just below the place where the bus stop is, is the tunnel.

Behind that tree is where it happened.

Hmmm. I love the internet, as you never know how truthful people are being. I was right with you until you told us the coppers gave you a lift home with blue lights flashing. This is absolutely and category against the rules and I doubt any police officer would risk his career by doing it.

I've had the police give me a lift home on a Saturday night; sitting in the guard seating area of a police van - because I was stranded. It's not impossible for the police to be human, or make their own decisions.

No need to call someone a liar because they said something's done out of protocol.

I'm not questioning that the police took you home as I know they do this as I have witnessed this on a couple of occasions with my very own eyes!
It's the FACT you seem to think they turned their sirens and flashing lights on and speed home in record time
This they ARE NOT legally allowed too do for obvious and sensible reasons.

No, i didnt say they did it to get home in record time.

I was purely saying thats how quick we got home rather than being in traffic on a bus.

Can you stop trolling now?

I'm not saying they wouldnt give you a lift home. They always do this, it's acceptable protocol, and its fine.

However, there are VERY strict rules regarding the use of blue lights and the driving that they adopt whilst under blues and twos. Regardless of stories of bravado mates of mates who once was a copper might tell you, this is not common. They have to account for everything they've done if pulled up on it, and it really isn't worth the hassle or the risk to their career.

Blue lights to get to McDonalds is the stuff of legend, hearsay, movies, and younger officers bigging themselves up to sound cool to their mates, when in reality, they never did it. Everyone has exagerated the stuff they do at work to sound more interesting so the 'Well my brothers done it' comments dont hold any water.

Why couldnt you just have said they drove you home becuase lets face it, thats what happened really isnt it? You didn't tear through the streets at breakneck speed with the flashing lights and sirens blaring as you were so quick to imply, did you?

And OMG, I wish people would stop throwing the world 'troll' around. Hint: It does not mean 'Somebody who doesnt agree with me'.

But, trolling the thread just saying stuff like that.

And also, yes they did have the sirens, yes they did get us home fast. Whats the big problem?

If you are just going to keep going on about that im lying about them having the lights on, why bother posting, because i know what happened.

If anyone found out what they allegedly did, they would be displined on the spot and probably charged with several moving traffic offences. Why on earth would an officer risk that in order to get a few 17 year olds home quick when they could have just as easily done the same thing without lights?

I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense. And as this is a discussion forum, you will get differing opinions and people who disagree with you. This is not 'trolling'.

Mate ... chill out!

Whether legal or not, we have all seen police cars slap the old sirens on to get through a busy roundabout or set of lights. There are other reasons why they may have put them on besides dropping the lads off. Also, whether he made a dash for it, why should you grill him over it? The moment adrenalin kicks in, you may not always choose the right path!!! Always someone on here gotta be a know it all.

Glad you chaps were alright, as you said before, it could have been a lot worse.

I didnt call you a troll.

And also, im not sure what the rules are about the lights, but i know what happened. And i really dont see why anyone would think id lie about something as little as having the lights on getting dropped home?

Ive seen the sirens used many times for things like that, and one of my friends in another car during the identification drive around said they put sirens on to get through lights.

Can you honestly not see the problem with the way you were taken home!

Yes, i can - but can you not see why i am calling you a troll? 17 posts and all you are commenting on is the fact that you think i am lying about being dropped home with lights on.

I think he posted on here to "share his experience" ... not to be slammed for it. Take a chill pill!
