They are a nice camera to use, the only downside is the poor fps compared with a cropped body, but that's the best reason to have 2-3 bodies on the go.

Blimey those prices vary. Seems the body only going rate is around £1600 at the mo, or £1400 if you're a VAT dodger.

At one point it was going for at £2100 at it's peak, lowest was £1450 odd.

My second body I paid £1600 new.

Are there many Nikon heads on this forum? I've seen D40's and D90's being used, but most of the shots I've seen have been Canon, especially on higher end bodies. I ask because I'm sorely tempted by a D300 that I've seen and i'll be feeling lonely on all the gear talk
