- With it being December the venue was very dark most of the time so I shot nearly the entire day at ISO1000 or more and images are as clean as you like. The focus annoyed me once or twice on the camera, but thats hardly anything to put me off of it.
On a side note...
Used the 5D2 all day at a wedding yesterday...and my god what a camera- With it being December the venue was very dark most of the time so I shot nearly the entire day at ISO1000 or more and images are as clean as you like. The focus annoyed me once or twice on the camera, but thats hardly anything to put me off of it.
The whole 'chuffed' ness of purchasing it has finally settled in now. It didn't initially due to when I got it I was tired and not feeling great and just merely glad it had turned up.
Now I gotta insure the bloody thing![]()
The insurance isn't that bad is it? Think mine is just over 110 for 5k of gear. Finally you've experienced the 5DII in its element thenThe insurance isn't that bad is it? Think mine is just over 110 for 5k of gear.

Indeed, I shot mostly between ISO800 and ISO2000 throughout the day...can't believe how nice the bokeh is on it...should be entering one of the images into this months comp
I'm thoroughly pleased and I know they say a bad workman blames his tools, but it helps to have the right tools in the first place, I'd say yesterdays wedding was a definite improvement over the last purely due to the camera upgrade
Not sure about insurance, going to have a look on photoguard later, I think Mark pays roughly £500 a year? which considering the amount of equipment he has, isn't bad at all. Thing is before if my 40D died or whatever I could replace it, but I can't afford to replace this if something were to happen to it....although another priority is a backup body, 5D classic will do nicely![]()
