knowing the septics thell probably sue scooby for making a car capable of breaking the speed limits, and the fuel company for providing the fuel

PMSL. :D

Btw - age 16 with a driving licence but they can't drink till they're 21.

Yup, some states it is 15, and I am sure there are situations where you can be 14 and drive in certain states and roads.

Depends which state, it's 21 for alcohol in the USA remember.

The rules are different for different areas, I think there's a rule about how many people you can have in your car under the age of 21 and at what times.

That's absolutely nuts.

I wouldn't trust a 14 year old to organise my sock drawer let alone drive a 1.5 ton car on a public highway.

That's what I just said  :p

Seems crazy to me they're trusted to drive, old enough to join the army, but they can't have a few beers down the local?

Errr.. you.. just.. err.. quoted yourself..

You would think some people had common sense wouldn't you, i mean 142... thats not been bothered about your parents thats been an idiot testing your vehicle...

i wouldnt let him drive again or id ban him for a very long time and give him an advance drivers course to do... just to make sure he sees how dangerous he was.

Didn't you brag the other day about doing in excess of these speeds in a mates evo? ;)

I think we also need to take in to account what, potentially, this road could have looked like:

This is a picture of the road he was on. Not necessarily the same part, and where he was speeding could be built up.

I'd honestly be driving at some considerable speed on this road with no traffic on it.
