Your bad driving encounters

drink or drugs
Could be nitrous oxide. See so many of the large cannisters tossed at the roadside. Both picked up on litter picks and driving. Those high on NO swerve all the time. Seen drivers doing NO whilst driving which is bloody dangerous. Holding the cannister between their knees whilst inflating a balloon.

The other week, I was driving behind a car and the driver threw out a large cannister out of their window. If it hit the kerb of the roundabout, it could have caused damage to my car. Wish had a dash cam.

Just about every Golf R :D

All I see of Golf Rs is them go warp speed off the lights then quickly catch someone up in the outside lane and tailgate them extremely close until they can get past :s aside from that I don't generally see bad driving from Golf Rs.

Yesterday, driving past McDs. You can only turn left to leave there. Idiot turned right and almost ran over a pedestrian as the crossing there was on red for drivers.

If someone gets knocked over, it will gridlock half of the area.

Yep, that’s what I mean, drive very fast (I don’t hang about, usually always at the speed limit) then tailgate very close.

You're forgetting that most are fitted with pop & nonce maps and fart at every DSG gear change.

In a similar vane though, there needs to be more done regarding pedestrians just walking straight across crossing that are RED for them & green for traffic, especially when traffic is already flowing. In other countries pedestrians are fined for such.

You're right, the lights need to change to red as a priority when a pedestrian is waiting. I can't stand crossings that stay red for ages, letting cars crawl through to get to the next queue a little earlier.

It's incredible how many people don't read road signs. This is a junction I hate with a passion because the amount of pillocks who think they can use the middle lane to go around the entire roundabout.

There is a B road exit after the A404 turn off, and before the M40 turn off. The sign clearly says all three lanes go down the A404, so if you're in the middle lane to go down the B road, you've got to cut across the lane where people are accelerating up to 70mph.

Today, turning right onto a mini roundabout. Van from Road I was entering was turning right. In front of him were 3 other cars wanting to turn left. Van decided to turn right where he was - almost ploughing into me.

Then on a pedestrian crossing. Lights turned red. One man (guessing late 70s) at crossing shrugged shoulders and stood there.

Same kind of thing happens here https://goo.gl/maps/1Uz54eSwyUeba2HH6 people coming over from the left to go right... to be fair the signage is lacking and no arrows on the road, etc. IIRC - seen several people get hit and had people cut across me twice recently only not being an accident because I/we were aware it can happen.

To be fair a lot of road layouts and signage are not very clear if you aren't familiar with the area especially a lot of more recent changes where obvious whoever was designing it couldn't be bothered and just did whatever was necessary to get it off their desk :s

Even with more than 20 years of driving experience I still hate roundabouts - anything more than the basic ones I struggle to figure them out the first time on approach if I don't already know the layout, even with using basic techniques as taught for selecting lanes, etc.

Sigh just saw someone drive past my house, car was barely coping with the very wet conditions and they were still pushing it beyond the speed limit while all over the road with a bit of sliding and wide into the corner with traffic coming the other way... (not intentionally drifting they were barely in control of the vehicle).

Drove behind a car with exhaust hanging off.

How could they drive with these? Plus longer they drive with exhaust scraping on the road, the more likely it needs replaced. Instead of a new clip

Driving down to Cornwall the other week and had some M5 junction madness with two lorries.

I was in the middle lane going onto the M5 South and to my annoyance not only did I have a lorry in the right lane wanting to come across to the M5 South (left and middle lanes) I had another lorry, at the same time, in the left lane wanting to carry on to the M5 North (right lane).
I had to stop and just let them sort themselves out.

Driving to work this morning and a Dodge caliber jumps into the space in front of me for the queue for the slip road. He fails to pay attention to the cars slowing down ahead to a stop in front and has to dive for the hatched markings to the left to come to a stop. He continues to weave through the left and right lanes for the next 2 roundabouts.

Ah Podimore, drive it daily to and from work. Coming home (so same at the position shown) I will be in the right hand lane (hugging the roundabout) to come off onto the A372 towards Langport. Pretty much without fail I will have a driver behind me nearly take the back of my car off as they proceed to accelerate into what will become the outside lane of the A303, not realising I am still in front of them slowing as the lights are red for my exit.

It was horrendous this morning with cars reversing back onto the A303 (as it goes from single carriageway 50mph to dual carriageway 70mph...) when they realised their exist (Ilchester / Yeovilton slip road) was closed. Pre scheduled road closures combined with diversions flooding due to the rain yesterday resulted in backlogs everywhere.

Bridge out at Queen Camel due to structural damage from the flooding isn't/wasn't helping.
