Its what you know its who you know, great for jobs even better for you, my dad knows any sort of job doing on the house from a friend, nothing better than a foreigner, I dont know that many people in other jobs, but I dont need to.

Hmmm, thinking about it my mates are basically:

Lawyers
Accountants
Engineers
Financial Services/Brokers

Guess we win at life

Pretty much the same, I seem to have far too many lawyer friends (It'll be handy one day I'm sure). What can I say, I work in the city....

I tend to avoid the brokers and traders though as they tend to be egotistical fools, my other half is a journalist so we have our fair share of loony left wing media friends too. It's all good fun.

What?

A foreigner round here means someone doing the job on the side for cheap, not going through the books. ie. builder who you know doing it cash in hand.
