Your cruising speed (quick answer required)

90ish with the assumption that conditions are good and it's not too busy. If it's totally empty then maybe up to 120ish for short stretches.

i normally cruise at 80-90mph

blimey Mike you gonna keep up with us on sunday ;)
Sunday yeah im sure I will keep up just fine. I do like to drive fast down some twisty roads but on the motorway doing 150 down a straight road aint all that great and I have done it before.

If I do 60 it only takes a little longer and saves me double the money.

At the moment 60 as im poor and have to do lots of 300mile trips and I can manage 40mpg if I do 60 which is 55gps.

*looks guilty*

If im on the motorway i used to do around 100 onwards, now its prob like 80 to 95 or summit like that.

Quite a fast and precise cruising speed. Any particular reason why it is 97mph?

I think it's a subconscious thing about staying fractionally under 100mph, careful enough to stay below that, but quicker than 95mph, just works out that way.

Some days I might be slower, depends on traffic, my mood, weather conditions etc. If I'm coming back from a trackday I will tend to be slower, if I'm driving home or am late it will be faster.

Makes sense penalty points/bans rise substantially if you are over 100mph.

A friends dad was speed gunned doing over a 100. He went to court and argued that he set the speed control to 99mph (as he already had points on his license) and so the cruise control must have been faulty, therefore he was not to blame. Somehow he got off without 3 points.
