Your favourite film soundtrack?

Hackers.

Every song is great, and I still listen to them every so often, more than 10 years since I first watched the movie.

Quite like the Bourne soundtracks.

Also the Terminator 2 sound track was pretty good

And Aliens had some pretty classic tracks which seem to crop up every year in a new movie :p

Taxi (the French one).

I have a soft spot for foreign rap, not sure why.

Er, Nightwatch - got some cracking rock in it and some decent Russian tracks, erm....can't think of any others just at the mo :)

Ghost in the shell. Fight Club, Requiem for a dream, Pi, American Beauty, also good.

Agree with Aliens comment. Absolutely love the opening music and the track where all hell breaks loose and Ripley drives the tank thing.

Assuming people organise there music collection by artist then album. How do you organise OSTs? At the moment the OST name is the Artist but I think I make a OST folder and chuck them in there.

Ghost In The Shell, Advent Children, Swordfish, Resident Evil, 28 days later for the track at the end when it gets all climatic and one which is so-so The Fast and the Furious.

There are 2 kinds of soundtracks

1 - Score made FOR The film - Star Wars, LOTR, Gladiator, Requiem for a Dream...etc

2 - Compilation - Stuff picked because it suit the movie - American Pie, Forrest Gump

3 - Songs written for the movie, not many of these, Magnolia is one example. Basically an Aimee Mann Album.

The best one (or the most listened one) for me is Magnolia soundtrack, fav is the Forrest Gump one, it's basically a soundtrack 0f the 60's and 70's.

Theme music from 28 days later is exellent (Brian Eno).
Any of the Star Wars main scores.

Lots of stuff by Hans Zimmer (Rainman, Top Gun, Thelma and Louise).

Garden State... the soundtrack and the film work perfectly together, probably the best bit of soundtrack work (rather than score) I can remember.

. The spookyness/eeryness of it fits the film and subject of the film perfectly.

the fact i worship bangalter like a god might make me bias though. although the first time i watched the film and thought about how suited the music was i didnt know it was by him

allot of scenes in that film are made by the music , especially the club/murder scene
