Not being a regular in this forum this idea may be done all the time - in which case sorry !

Anyway, here goes.....

I'm going to post my 5 favourite tracks/albums at the moment.

The next person should reply with an album they would recommend I check out based on the musical tastes I have indicated with my top 5.

The idea is that everyone can look through and get ideas for new listening based on their own tastes...

So - my top five (at the moment - I tend to go through phases) in no real order:

1 - Sarah MacLachlin - Fumbling Towards Ecstasy
2 - Bruce Springstein - Ghost of Tom Joad
3 - Alison Krauss - Lonely Runs Both Ways
4 - Michelle Shocked - Captain Swing
5 - Eric Clapton and BB King - Riding with the king

So What would you suggest I listen to and what are your top 5 albums at the moment...

1 - Sarah MacLachlin - Fumbling Towards Ecstasy

It is interesting that while not in any particular order, you chose to put this first. This use to be my favorite album (saw her twice in concert, once in the center of the front row), but now no longer at the top.

My current top 5:

1 - Joanna Newsom - Ys (kicking myself I did not get tickets to the show on Friday)
2 - Regina Spector - Begin to hope
3 - Cathrine Feeny - Hurricane Glass
4 - Tori Amos - The piano Collection (loosely an album as there is 5 CDs here)
5 - Joni Mitchell - Hits

There are others in rotation, but these are the top right now.

6 - Terra Naomi - virtually
