-6800GS ...great overclocker and awesome performer...barely noticed a difference when I upgraded to the 7800GT
-7900GT overclocked very nicely....quite a fast card when clocked to 700mhz
-x1900xt Software voltmods and awesome overclocker and performer...
-3850pro Amazing clocker and probably the best budget card for the money..
 
First was an ATI Rage Pro 8MB :D Useless.

Then one day my dad came home with a Geforce2 MX400... I only wanted to play Carmageddon so I was happy.

Soon after I acquired a Geforce2 GTS, but kept the MX400 in my rig for months because the GTS was a 32MB whilst the MX was 64MB, and I was a noob :p That GTS is still running in my brother's computer.

Then I bought a Geforce4 Ti4200 - one of the best graphics cards ever made, huge performance increase from the GF2.

Next was a Radeon 9700 - revolutionary, had nVidia wetting themselves when it came out. Swapped that a couple of times, settling on a 9800Pro flashed to XT.

9800Pro died suddenly so got a loan off my dad to buy a Geforce 6600GT. This was a bit disappointing, faster than the 9800 in benchmarks but not much different in games, though it did allow me finally to play Far Cry at 1280x1024 with decent FPS.

Kept it until an upgrade to C2D meant I needed a PCI-E card, so I got an X1800XT cheap off the MM which I had until last month. Great card that was forgotten when X1900 came out - no slower than a 1950Pro and was playing all my games at 1680x1050 apart from Crysis.

Got the upgrade bug again, though, so now running a 512MB EVGA 8800GT.

Cripes, I'd forgotten about that little oddity. Sort of related to the Sega Saturn IIRC as it came with Panzer Dragon and Virtua Fighter.

We used to sell the Diamond version at a computer shop I worked in as a student. Don't ever remember us selling one tbh.

I used to own a Sega Saturn and indeed still have it somewhere with Dragon, Virtua Fighter 1 and 2 plus many other games.

Panzer Dragon .. music WOW !!!!!

Personally, I'm still open to an ATI card but so far nothing has tickled my budget-to-performance-fancy :(

So far everything I've had has been well priced but still in the mid to high end performance scale for its time, barring of course the latest 8 series.
 
Voodoo3 3000 16MB AGP - 1999
ATI 7600(?) 32MB AGP - 2002. Was abysmal
ATI 8500(?) 64 MB - 2002. Again wasnt very good.
XFX Geforce 4200Ti 128MB - 2003.
Hurcules ATI 9800 128MB - 2003. Melted the circuit board no idea what was wrong with it. :confused:
Connect 3D ATI 9800PRO 128MB -2004. Sold in 2006.
XFX 6800GT AGP 256MB - 2005. Still have it in a 2nd pc. Best card produced imo. And bought it from the mm.
Gainward 7800GS+ AGP 512MB - 2006. Still main card in the rig.

Not a great history but I tend to buy once a year, looking at next year for the 9800's
 
3DFX voodoo 2 - Whatever happened to 3DFX??????????

Geforce mx440 - amazing card, truley was. even ran cod2 fine when my 9800pro died
9800pro - good card but died after 13 months vowed never to go ATi again!
7600GT - Nice card for the price. Decided to build a HTPC so this went in there was really nice with an aftermarket cooler!!

x1950xt s56 mb card - lasted me all of 2007 cracking card for the money £160 well spent. Did go back to ati lol :s

8600GT replaced my 7600GT in my HTPC for HD-DVD playback. Nice Hd pic with the 8600GT :)

8800GT replaces x1950xt in my "gaming" machine. Really happy with it. Although the cooler sounds like its gonna die at any minute. S1 is in order next month.
