So I'm just interested in knowing how far you guys have advanced in your photography.

This isn't to list your entire equipment, so please refrain from doing so.

I am just interested in knowing what your most expensive Body / Lens is that you have either owned before, or currently own now?

What Body / Lens was it, and how much?

What's yours? Might be an idea to lead by example and start it off! - ocukmodz

I can't lead an example as I don't currently have mine :). If you insist though, I have the D3300 on back order, hopefully they get stock wtihin the next 2 weeks. Then at this moment in time, the Nikkor 55-300mm lens will be my most expensive once I've bought it.

Well I only just got a body! :p

So £399 for a Nikon 5200 kit.

And £260 for a Nikon 70-300mm lens.

Peanuts really in terms of photography. But in total in the last 2 days I have spent over £1200 on photography kit.

Since I tend to stick with 2nd hand, things pan out quite cheaply.
Nikon D810 @ £1999
Lens wise I think it's a tie between my nikon 300mm f2.8 and nikon 20mm f1.8 at roughly £500.

Going by rrp the 300mm f2.8 is definitely the most expensive, not so sure on the body between the D810 and the F5.

5D3 Body - Bought it new shortly after release, paid around £2400ish - still own it
Lens - 35L without a doubt. That's a 4 figure lens, but still not hugely expensive compared to some.

Body: 5DIII
Lens: 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II

Although I have a feeling I paid more for my 24-70 f/2.8L II, not 100% sure without checking the invoices.

Just bought a £400 lens (second hand), which is a lot for me as its just a hobby. Seems like nice bit of kit and they seem to hold their value if I ever decide to sell it.
