I have no idea what new slr id get im still learning my 400D BUT id move to Nikon if i had the chance

Brave move, the D7000 will be a good camera I'm sure but the move between the systems is annoying, the philosophy behind the control systems is different, let alone the layout of the controls themselves...if you only use one you'll probably adjust with a bit of time but swapping between the two during a day's shooting is a mental challenge.

I dont know why people feel they need more resolution than 12mp, unless your producing room size prints then can you really tell the difference ? If not the D3s is ace, the 1dmk4 is closest in regard to high iso performance but its a 1.3x crop sensor..
