Well, it's really hard trying to choose just 3 shots from the year, but as I really just shoot aviation, nature and weddings, I guess these 3 are as representative as any!! :)

I would like to give just one honourable mention to my £150.00 55-200 VR lens, never ceases to amaze me, so sharp for such a cheap lens.

Well here are my 3, didn't really get out and shoot this month as much as i had been hoping. But im hoping that the purchase of a new camera, the new tripod and filters for christmas and the 110nd filter that im going to buy will improve that.

First was one of my first shots of the year, it might not be to everyones taste but something about it really clicks with me. I know the highlights are blown and its not super sharp but meh.

Under The Pier by Adam Bolwell, on Flickr

This was the first proper long exposure shot that i got to work, i wasn't really sure about the colour cast caused by the proper cheap ND filters that i was using, but i think it works. Only problem being is that the lighthouse is blown.

Portland Bill After Dark by Adam Bolwell, on Flickr

Was really pleased with this shot when i got back home, and to win the photocomp with it was always a welcome bonus.

Ah well, in for a penny...

Town square by Niall Allen, on Flickr

This is my favourite, mainly because of the amount going on. However this is the unedited version. I never got around to uploading the correct one. The main annoyance for me in this one, which isn't that apparent in this shot is the IMMENSE amount of noise in the clouds. It really bugs me :(

Fog alley by Niall Allen, on Flickr

I'm quite happy with this one.

I don't really have a third, so I'll randomly add this one.

Not sure if i have any to post guys this year my stills camera has been left at home, but wow some amazing shots there and you have all made me want to run out and shoot again :-D

When i get new kit in Jan i will be thinking all year about the 2011 version of this thread :-D

Photography has been on the back burner this past year, with both work and my Masters degree taking all of my time! But I did recently manage to do some shooting as part of a piece of quantitative research for a thesis, so here are three shots :D

Very cool, shame they don't really convey 'York' or 'Edinburgh' by the fashion or the person's look. I do like number 2 and 3 though, something rather parallel with the way they both look in a similar direction but of different end of age.

Quite disappointingly this is about as much photography as I have done all year :( I took about 200 shots per city and some of them do show a really good variation between city fashions and general demeanour, but these three were some of my favourites.

I find doing a 52 project works. Makes me sit down and think about what I want or expect for a shot on that week. Maybe something to help kick start the shoot again... or is work and uni way too overwhelming now?
