Hey guys,
I just had a pretty weird moment with my PC.
Last night when I shut down there were some windows updates going on, they happen every now and then so I thought nothing of it. All I noted was that there were 19 updates.
Then when I started it back up a few minutes ago, I logged in with my user name and password and the default Windows 7 home screen came up with all my files etc missing from the desktop. A message in the bottom right hand side of the screen told me I have been logged in with a temporary profile and that all files I create in this profile will be deleted when I log off again.
I panicked, removed my USB stick thinking that could be the problem, restarted and voilà my normal desktop comes back again.
Anyone have any idea what went on here?
Just in case you need to know, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.
Cheers guys.
J
