I will be hopefully getting the logitech Z5500 is the future and be plugged into my current sound card Creative Audio 7.1 sound card. Is there any point upgrading my sound card to a card with SPDIF input ( RCA phono ) or a SPDIF input ( TOS Link ) and if so what card?
Also i can tick the box to output only to digital in the creative console - will i hear any difference in quality then?
I mainly will use the speakers for everything - music, games and DVDs and annoying the neighbours!
Rest of system: Q6600, 2GB RAM, Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R 8800GTX
