Anyone else listening to these? I listened to the Nirvana one - a fantastic show. He is playing 5 albums he considers 'masterpieces' in their entirety over the next 5 nights. The first was 'Nevermind' + interviews and a lot of early 90's music/Nirvana influences etc. Have a listen to it (and the other shows)

Me too I prefer In Utero also. - maybe the reason he chose it was because of the impact on the music scene Nevermind made at the time? Anyway yeh cool concept.

The Nirvana and Zep albums aren't even that band's best albums and as for the other two, the less said about them the better.

clas·sic (klăs'ĭk) pronunciation
adj.

1.
1. Belonging to the highest rank or class.
2. Serving as the established model or standard: a classic example of colonial architecture.
3. Having lasting significance or worth; enduring.

None of the above!

You know its Ocuk when you make a post about listening to a good radio show, then everyone starts arguing over the choices:p. The list is his, listen to the show and enjoy it! Nevermind certainly got me into Nirvana, and made a huge impact, I prefer In Utero, but to hear Nevermind for the first time ie 'Nirvana' for many made a big impact. Makes for better radio too I guess - ie people talking about how they heard the album for the first time - certainly Nevermind made more of an impact than In Utero.

I'm quite intrigued to hear the show about Is This It? just to see how someone could argue that it's a classic. You'd need the best defence since OJ.

lol v true!:p - A v good reason to listen to that show actually. (I like the album - but classic it aint)
