*** Zelda: Breath of the Wild ***

Is anyone selling their ore? I need rupees but loathe to sell these since they have reference to the elements on them. I have a feeling they'll be needed later.

They're needed to craft better weapons iirc. Sell the bits you get from killing mobs. Like the horns and guts and stuff :p

Keep some to upgrade your armour from the Fairy !! you need 5 Bokoblin horns you get from killing skeletons to upgrade 1 level of your clothing.

I find selling food easiest to make money, can get as much as 70 rupees from 1 dish that is nothing that special.

I haven't done much cooking. Keep meaning to stop at a pot but always feel there's something more interesting to be doing.

Cooking is interesting. Some of the boost benefits are important to help get you through the tougher parts of the game. I use it for health, haste, stealth, cold resist and stamina. Dubious food is not fun :)

Still can't nail the dodge every time. is it ZL +left or right? Or do I need to press X ?

Yes X at the right time along with L, R or back (whilst locked on). I haven't really got the parry down yet - not sure if it is shield or A. I had it in the tutorial but kind of forgot what to do!

should you be keeping all the mechanicall stuff as well? so just sell the stuff you loot from mobs right? i dont want to be selling stuff i need

I've been keeping everything except amber and high value mineral stuff like that. I think on your first play through it's OK to go for the money then keep what's precious when you play through it again. I love this game so much I already want to re-start it!

I've done some, it's not that interesing :p
I do it in a reactionary way e.g. Just had to grind some heat elixirs out for the desert.

Yes keep the mech bits. I just finished looting the whole of hateno field :)

Does anyone use the search function for the dungeons, I've disabled it as it was driving me nuts making noises and vibrating every 5 minutes.

No, but it would be wise if you see one, go and just "log in" so it pops up on the map and you can use it as a quick travel spot.

Don't you just hate it when your climbing a tall mountain and it starts raining ??

Ugh. Haha.

Caught me out a few times! I wonder though (not a spoiler but just had a thought...)

if you can use something like rock salt to give you more grip when it's wet? So much detail in this game I wouldn't be surprised if there was something like this

Anyone order the WiiU version from GAME? If so did you get the pre-order bonus?

Mine came today, but for some reason GAME have given art cards (which are suppose to be Argos pre-order bonus), rather than the keyring and poster. Not sure if they ran out, even though I ordered early or have decided only to give keyring to switch version.

Ordered early before the price increase, so not too bad, just a little annoying that they send it out too late for release day delivery and then screw up the bonus.

Korok tip/spoiler

i've just realised those shrines with the apples like in kakakiro village, if you fill in the missing trays a korok appears. i've seen quite a few of them throughout the landscape and until now have just been stealing the apples ! :o

also anyone figured out what to do with the mini orange windmills you sometimes see on tops of hills? i'm sure that's something to do with koroks as well. i've tried spinning them with the leaf but that isn't it...
