Right. Time to crack on with my third beast. I'll explore more later. :D

just acquired the climbers outfit from the three shrines they're hidden in. Your climbing is very much increased. It great !

Edit. Rain and climbing is still a no no :(
 
I'm quite far through the game now (I think). Done 3 of the divine beasts and just about to do the last one.

Only one I struggled with was the camel in the desert which was the first one I tried. Apart from that they are pretty simple. Its one of those things where you forget you can do something (like freeze water horizontally) and when you have spent 5 minutes tearing your hair out you realise and its easy.

Utterly fantastic game. As others have said, the removal of a traditional progression method like XP makes you want to explore for the sake of it. For the thrill of finding a new area. You know that there won't be anything like an amazing weapon or new armour set but you don't care.

The only thing that has really annoyed me for some reason is the city of women where you can't get in without dressing as a lady. Even after I have saved them, freed the divine beast and basically done everything they wanted I'm still not allowed in without a dress on.

The attention to detail is just amazing. The way you have to think your way around little issues all the time. I have spent so much time in this game climbing and you still get worried when your stamina is low and you might not make the next ledge/top.

Thunderblight Ganon was tough, and a little ridiculous. I mean picking up a pylon/spike in time to electrocute him was ludicrous. You literally had two or three seconds to get it right. The rest of the battle was easy though, I think the master sword really helps !!

Edit. Wearing the full rubber suit didn't help at all. What a waste of time getting that was
 
You got a while to go yet then ! :D it is worth it though!

I'd do the 6 shrines to get the full rubber armor. And the climbing armor too. Definitely.
 
Well, I've only actually even opened up the bottom 1/4 of the map, I tried to get all of the towers but some of the temperature extremes just kills me.
 
I have done about 20 shrines so far. Going around doing shrines and climbing towers at the moment. Only done Ruta so far. Going to carry on doing that until I fancy doing a quest. Found a few side quests also.

Those strengths check shrines are hard. Found a major one, no luck, so left, now on a modest one.

The one in the south just off the coast? Yup! I left that one too, I couldn't even do a minor one!

What are people in the early game doing for money? I've only just got to the village and got my horse. Haven't sold anything yet. I keep reading that most things have a crafting value later so what should I sell / do for cash?

I just finished the modest one. You can't really go toe to toe with it. One hit and dead. Need to watch and see patterns in the machines attack and plan your own attack accordingly.

I only have 6 hearts. Put 3 into stamina as I hate running out of it when climbing and running around. But going forward I will go all hearts I think :)

I have close to 4K, I buy arrows mainly. I make sure I keep at least 10 of each item before I sell. I do not sell stuff I regularly cook with however.

I think I have 2-3 towers left now to climb :)
 
Wow you guys are storming ahead with this. Think ive only opened up 3 areas by tower atm. Got to one tower which has like a half destroyed castle around the bottom and loads of purpley goo floating round it.

Don't particularly want to rush it really as aside from MK8 there arent really any games on the horizon which look any good so want to make it last as long as possible.

Well you're way further ahead than me then. I never get to rush games due to kids, dogs, work but with this I'm at least sure I'll bother to finish it

Same, ive not got to any of the beasts bit yet, just trying to uncover parts of the map still! Going to take my sweet sweet time with this one!
