I'm suprised there's no recent thread for this - looking back using search there's a few people mentioning that they are looking forward to it but nothing recently.

Anyway , the NTSC version came out 1st of the month but thanks to the Royal Mail strikes my copy only turned up yesterday :(

I've done the first mini-island (fire) and my initial impressions are it's very much "wind waker" on a portable with some of the boring bits such as sailing, tweaked to make them less boring- good graphics and sound everything you'd expect from a zelda title.

Controls are easy too apart from rolling which I still need to practice. Makes use of the mic to solve some bits and drawing the path of the boomerang is quite neat - I assume like other Zelda games I'll come accoss the hookshot and bow in later dungeons.

So has/is anyone else getting this?

It's great. I just completed the 2nd main island and got the 2nd Power Spirit. :)

Loving it so far, like being able to doodle on the maps etc and being able to upgrade the ship is cool.

I'm saving my money for Metroid on the Wii (serious cash shortage - buying houses are bad for for gaming budgets :(), but I've seen it new and delivered for £20~ which is hard to turn down.

Anyone know how much I'd get credit, roughly, for Animal Crossing?

Was going to buy this for my dads birthday but it seems its not out yet, looks pretty good it may persuade me to sell my psp and get a DS again.

It does look absolutely awesome. Lots of good reviews, positive comments, lots of fresh ideas.

Yup, it takes all the good points of TWW (which was better than OOT imo, oooh controversial!) and improves them while adding new, decent ideas.

Add a cracking story and some good graphics for the DS and it's bloody awesome :D

I've got this as well, although I'm quite sick of returning to the same temple and doing each floor over and over again after finishing a temple.

Tis very good, only thing I didn't like was the repetition of the hourglass temple but other than that it's a great Zelda game with very good use of both the two screens and touch-screen functionality. Takes the style of Wind Waker but the sailing doesnt drag on quite as much!

I quite liked the sailing, digging with the crane for treasure, using the cannon (on WW) sometimes though i wish that sometimes you could sleep while sailing

should get my copy today can't wait, I'm going away for the weekend so I think I'm gonna get a good section of the game done then :)

Ninja thread resurrection?

Girlfriend got this about a week or so ago, i've been slowly working through it myself (she's already done all the spirits and 2 of the 3 metals) but i'm getting bored with going back to that sodding temple for the 'n'th time to get another scroll or location.

Enjoyed the sailing bits, the upgrading, even the bosses are quite good fun. :)

It's awfully repetitive though. :(

Finished this last night while I couldn't sleep...

Was pretty good but as others have said, the temple bit does get repetitve, not to mention if you want to get all the gems you end up repeating most of the game.
