Just assembled a PC over the weekend and I've got no sound at all. The disc that came with the motherboard didn't seem to work in 64 bit Windows 7 either, just errors every time I try to run the installer. I'm not totally sure what the problem is, It's a Zotac 9300 ITX wi-fi board, I've been to Nvidia's site where it detects the board as an Nforce 740, I've downloaded and installed the suggested drivers and the HD audio driver also but still I'm having no luck with it. I've been to Zotac's website which is less than helpful, the only downloads I could find over there were BIOS updates. I would try those but according to Zotac the only way of finding out the version you need is to take the motherboard out and look underneath for a serial number which identifies what PCB you have. If anyone knows an alternative method I'd like to hear it.

I'll keep trying but in the meantime if someone can point me in the right direction I'd be very much appreciative. If any more info is needed just ask. :)

No need to answer the question now, I've managed to fix it myself. Missed a couple of files on Zotac's site, one of which was a Realtek driver which seems to have done the trick. Link to the downloads page is here if anyone has similar problems in the future, the file that I used was the onboard HD Audio file. :)
