So, after waiting for OcUK to stock UV Premix UV Blood Red - I ordered two bottles. I noticed they're not the same colour?? Both the bottles are labelled correctly - so what should I do?

Bottles reversed, to show that shade/light makes no difference:

Hi there the are both blood red. what has happened is as we improve the mixture ratios between batches we all so improve the amount of dyes we use. You have got one bottle from one batch and another from a more recent batch. Once the new bottles have filtered though the system you will find we have now added batch no's onto the bottles.

You can mix them and it will have no effect on the liquids as this is some thing we are very stringent at testing and all our liquids "Must" conform to being mixed. E.g any colour form any "Mayhems" range can be mixed with each other. e.g pastel can be mixed with x1, aurora can be mixed with pastel ect ect and the same goes for the dyes.

We reject any liquids or dyes that cannot be mixed.

Just to add you can add alli into you system with our premixes. the liquid has a built inhibitor to stop it corroding in a mixed metal loop.

Hey Mick, are there any plans for a new pink liquid before the summer?
As it stands planning on using the Gemini Pink for a simple Cpu loop project in the next few months hopefully :p

There are no plans for the next 6 months to 8 months of any new liquids. We are working on another 3 projects that we have put first.

The next liquid we are looking to push and develop are the Heat reacting liquids and X2. How ever X2 has become a pain and requires a lot more work so dont expect that to see light for at least another year+. The heat reactive liquids are under test at the moment how ever will not be due to hitting testers for at least another 6 months all so i need to save up for another PC so that we can get that under full load testing.

I'm fine with mixing it - I'm just concerned that I don't want to dilute the Blood Red colour since I opted for a darker colour instead of the normal red.

So, mixing it won't affect the colour?

It may lighten it a little how ever if you not happy send me a email and ill send over some dyes to darken it off for you free of charge.

Just use the link to contact me directly.

Have a possible problem with my Pastel coolant...

When I woke up this morning (PC had been off for about the last 10-11 hours), I noticed the coolant had separated slightly in my reservoir. I have an EK bay res, with about 20-25mm of coolant in it, however the top 1-2mm seemed to be a deeper & more transparent colour. Any idea why this might be?

Obviously I don't want it to be due to any serious problem, but I would rather know now, so that I can sort it out if it is :s

EDIT: BTW, I forgot to take a photo of it, but I'll try and remember to do that tomorrow morning, if I notice the same again.

this is normal pastel will separate when left for period of time. turn on and it will mix back in with in seconds. Its been designed this way.

Ah, ok, that's fine then, just wanted to check it wasn't meaning there was some other problem!

First time I've noticed it though, which is why it worried me a little :)

My XSPC res cracked and hit the wall whilst I was asleep and mayhems dyed water leaked down the wall into the carpet. :(

Is there any way I can get rid of the staining mick?

Thanks :D

Erm no mate. Not off the carpet mate.

Is the staining blood red from you lass hitting you over the head with a hammer ....

Off worktops i use blench but i doubt you can do that on the carpet ...

Hey Mick, Can you mix your UV Yellow/Green dye with Pastel Sunset Yellow?

I want it normal sunset yellow without lighting and then UV effect when lighting switched on?

Will it effect the color when adding this paticular dye to the mix?

UV lighting up Pastel is a nightmare. It takes about 10x the amount of dye to do all so you need to dampen down the pastel effect. The pastel is made up of a UV blocker hence why it has such a long life span. This is why UV white pastel is so expensive due to amount of dye we use to make it.

Alls o Sunset yellow is not made up using the same mix as UV yellow green. Pastel sunset yellow is actually Just yellow that makes it stand out. Were as UV yellow green is not as bright.
