**AMD GPU PRICE DROP: AWESOME CARDS @ AWESOME PRICES!!**

You should be able to easily clock it up to 1000/1600 without altering the voltage, and this will barely require any more power draw.

Interesting :) probably worthless right now as I am bottlenecked arghhh! Happened with my 5850 as well had to upgrade cpu and mobo.

Graphics card tech advances so quick!

Im in the market to buy a 7950 and these prices are very tempting but I think Im going to hold out till they are being bundled with Sleeping Dogs which is supposed to be replacing the current 3 for free offer. Anyone heard any dates for the Sleeping dogs bundle? Ive heard talk of beginning of Sept.....

In what way are you bottlenecked? You feel your phenom II is holding back your card? Would be interested to hear how you came to that conclusion.

Probably, but not by much. Most people check places like yahoo answers when asking which GPU and not the sensible places like this, 660ti is being recommended all over the net atm lol. I'm sure Nvidia will milk it for all it's worth (or not as the case me be).

Yup, for as long as forums and reviewers go on the way they currently are nvidia prices will remain sky high.

GTX580 to a 7950 any point in doing this? lol or is it more of a sidegrade or a nonegrade even.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/550?vs=517

Depends on the games you play, my main is BF3 so it seems a 7950 is actually worse than a 580, my 480 is overclocked to 865 on the core so I don't think it will be worth it for me at all.

I'd say the only real upgrade would be to a 670 at least.

Bit of a sidegrade, but if you overclock the 7950 it is significantly faster than the 580. If you can get a good price for your 580 then go for it. If you are close to your limit of vram its also worth considering an upgrade.

I just got a brand new replacement from MSI of a twin frozer 580GTX with like 2 and bit year warranty left on it still im sure I could get £200 for it xD is its a new replacement :O.

Haha they exchanged my 570 for it :p
