Score P16581
AMD Radeon R9 290X(1x)
Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition Processor
Graphics Score 17135
Physics Score 16382
Combined Score 13544

what clocks are those at - I'm getting 5-600 lower on 1075/6100.

The other scores which are cpu affected on mine are much lower due to less cores and less ghz but I understand those.

Just running 3d mark now. 1075/5900 although had to up volts slightly even for 5900. P.S GPU tweak is crap. Managed to keep the card fairly quiet though. Good case ventilation goes along way.

Hi,

Just installed my card and ran 3dmark

Fire strike score: 9499 with the sapphire 290x at stock and intel i7 4770k at 4.4

Haven't touched the bios switch and max temp hit 94 degrees.

Are you guys running in uber mode and if so how can you tell which switch position is which? I can just see two positions with no labelling and it's currently switched to the left (nearest to rear of the case).

Noise isn't as bad as expected but I switched from an early sapphire 7970 with same reference fan. Whilst temp is hotter noise is comparable.

Are you on an Asus card or Asus BIOS - I'm using Asus card (not flicked BIOS switch).

I only get artefacts with the memory over 6000-6100 or so - core speed seems to crash back to desktop or locks-up if its too high. Fan on 40% max is audible but nothing major and only slightly more than my H100i

My current 3dmark/3dmark11 scores are :-

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1485479
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7376957

at 1075/6100 on 4770k @ 4.4

Puahed fan speed limit to 60% and ran at 1150/6000 and got an improved 3dm11 of P14399 - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7377353 but 3dm crashed on firestrike

Received mine this morning and had to send it back.

Its said the cooler is 66db at full whack. which doesn't necessarily bother me. but I kid you not the coil whine was louder than the cooler. It had coil whine at any sort of load which was louder than the cooler. There was no coil whine at idle. but as soon as any sort of load was put onto the card. It just screamed with coil whine.

Such a shame. I'll have to see if a different batch comes out later on, as I've read a lot of reports of coil whine.

Also when removing the card. I know the card runs at 95c. but OMG. the shroud (plastic) was near melting point. I couldn't touch it for a good 10-15mins after shutting down. I burnt my thumb :(.

Every other GPU I've had has never been anything like that. I could switch my system off and instantly remove it without the card even feeling remotely hot.
