Hi guys,

Just got myself a MSI Lightening GTX780 off 8 Pack and i'm having a play with overclocking it. Flashed it with Skyn3ts BIOS.

Anyways this is what I've achieved so far.


System specs are

[email protected]
8gig 1600mhz Kingston Genesis Ram.

How are my overclocks looking? Still got a lot of reading to do clocking GTX780s :)

I have just run Valley for the 1st time and scored 2476 on my 1st run and 2464 on my second, leaving me agonisingly close to the top 100 board :mad:

Using a Stock i5 2500 and 290 @1075/1300, Valley crashed with 1100/1300 had to force reboot.

Can anyone help me squeeze the extra to sneak onto that board?

My CPU is stock so possibly some gain there though the cpu is a non k and the board is a biostar h61 so not much overclockability if any at all.

I have a 4770k due to arrive on Tuesday but I won't have a mobo for it until next payday which is just over a month away. I don't really want to damage this cpu or kill it as it has been reliable and would serve well as a spare unit.

What can I do gain a fraction more other than wait until I can use the i7... without smoking this cpu and board?

Pm me if need be if you can help so as not to jack this thread.

I'll have to run Valley again later and take a pic at the end of the bench.
Haven't been able to get above 2683 since that run for some reason though, I must have just had a fluke run to get 2716.

Did run with a 4.7ghz oc on my 2500k and got

Scoring around 4800 with 290 XFire with 1100 core and 1500 memory.

Is this about right, or a bit low?

That with 3770K at 4.5 and 16gb Kingston DDR3 @ 2200MHz

Must have misread the list earlier, cause for some reason thought I should be getting about 1000 more.

Cool :)

Now if I could just figure out why the clocks are fluctuating...

Just scored 4944 at 1150. Now I'm simply going to have to go for 5000 :D
