Hi,

Is there any other recommendations for a E8600 CPU based motherboard apart from the Biostar I45?

I will be looking to use either SS Rotary or a Cascade Rotary (depending on how much I want to fork out).

Rest of the setup is as follows:

E8600 CORE2 DUO 3.33GHz
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB PC2-8500
Samsung 1TB F1 Spinpoint HDD
XFX 9800GTX Black Edition
Thermaltake W0132RB 1000W PSU
Windows XP most likely

Your advice is much appreciated, the reason for the question is the supplier I used for the I45 shipped out a TP45 HP (i.e. wrong board). Therefore I am open to other suggestions :)

Cheers

T Power I45 here, is the high end and the TP45 HP here, is the lower end part.

I have a TP35D2-A7 and for £35 it's a cracking board. Overclocks nicely too. Biostar are very underrated as they make very good boards for a reasonable cost.

Managed to get it changed for the I45.. imranb - why don't you just reorder it?

Where did you order it form?

Only joking, don't wanna get you banned.

Can you tell me though, did you order it from the uk, as I had to import mine.

What I will say though, is that's it's a cracking board and you will be very pleased with your purchase.
Probably one of the best i've used.:D

I intend to re-order but I am not sure if the current supplier has stock. I probably need to find another supplier, some hints would be good :)
OcUK should stock Biostar then I would buy it from here.

More retailers should stock Biostar boards. There are only a couple in the UK that i know of. It's a pity really, as i said earlier, their boards are highly underrated and most of them clock extremely well and are very stable.

I like the way in that link you posted they don't show the voltages for the stupidly high clocks.

I made a post here OcUK New Product Suggestions requesting they stock the Biostar Tpower I45.

I suggest everyone wishing to buy one does the same & posts a product suggestion in the above link, stating to stock Biostar motherboards..

Would be good if OcUK stocked all the current line of Biostar motherboards as they offer good quality at a really afforable price.

Intel LGA775 Platform

Biostar TPower I45

Biostar TP45 HP

Biostar TP45D2-A7

AMD AM2+/AM2 Platform

Biostar TPower N750

I just checked that area, there is no post in there

Biostar are awesome. I'm still using my old NF4 TForce with an overclocked Opteron. What an absolute bargain, and rock solid too.:)

I hardly ever hear anything about Biostar here and the other places I visit but yet most of the reviews of their products ranging from AMD to Intel are all good for the most part. Thats the one thing that usually keeps me from pulling the trigger when making a purchase. Think next board I buy I am just gonna do it and try one out. The prices are always really good and they always boast the overclocking performance in the reviews.

I am actually curious if anyone has used or knows anything about the BIOSTAR TForce TP43 HP. I am just wondering if the P43 gives similar performance as the P45 like my P31 is similar to a P35. Really good price here for one. It also has a decent cooling solution.
