Somewhere Fabulous...
Hi Guys

Posted this is the Windows section but haven't had any responses...

Does anyone know where i can obtain 64bit drivers for the function buttons and volume/AV buttons for a Sony Vaio laptop? I have just moved to Win7 64bit and none of them work!

Does anyone have or know of where i can obtain 64bit Vista/Win7 drivers for these? I know its early days but most Vista drivers work with Win7 for there must be some out there somewhere!

Thanks! :D

Oh, my model is the Vaio AR51M.

Following a bit of research i've stumbled across a forum which has links to the Canadian Vaio support site. There's a laptop on there with Vista HP 64bit and the drivers are on there. I'm gonna try them tonight and see if i get any results. The drivers are for a different series of laptop but i doubt that they have specific ones for each Vaio.

Worth a try! :D

Nope, still 32bit. The 64bit ones are on the canadian site for another model. I'm yet to try them but feel free to give them a go, here's the link

You can even select Win7 64bit from the operating system list.

Edit: The link above is the exact site i found. All instructions and links are in there.

Got it all sorted people!!

Here's a link to the page that helped me. Basically I did everything this guy did but I couldn't use his link to the Sony 64 bit site, here's the one from google

http://www.vaio-link.com/os/vista/64bit/

I downloaded all the software from this guys link and now all my function buttons and extra AV/Volume/Eject buttons work with the correct osd's.

Give it a whirl!

I used the Vista drivers for the Hybrid Graphics and cool CPU function buttons on my Fujitsu laptop and they work fine.
