4870 x2 waterblocks

it did before with my danger den 29xt. Out from under my desk to the water cooler, Im sitting here in my shorts the heats blowing out. Ive tried the fan trick profile but it dont work

yes but at least it wouldnt be stuck under my desk with no where to go, it be in the whole room keeping me nice and warm, however in the winter it will be very nice and save me a bit on the huge increases in heating bills!! Roll on the winter!!:D

i need a water block, the sec i cool the 4870x2 in my rc100, it will crash under vantage, needs to be kept cooler and quieter.
with the core at 790 and the mem at 1050 it tries to set fire to the case, water cooling must amke a difference on temps especially with a decent pump and block.

Thats brilliant idea. I gave it a go and am onto mark one version. temps have dropped from 78 idle to 49 or 50.!! Also maxs out 76 whilst playing games. Better than I was getting before with watercooled, plus the fan dont make much noise. Im happy camper!!

i tried that with 2 akasa silent fans 80mm one on each but i think they just spin too slow to get rid of the heat. Didnt work for me. Dropped temps 4c at idle and about 6 max, but its a damn sit quieter, still waiting for the block.

Thats a fine bit of kit mate. I have been lucky enough and found one to test too. it should be with me tommorow so will post some temp details and some pics of installation., looks a bit easier than the hell i had installing the dd29xt as in spillage!!:D
